Feathery is excited to announce that Chris Mills has joined the company as Head of Wealth Solutions.
Chris brings nearly three decades of experience across broker-dealers, RIAs, and wealth technology platforms, which includes serving as President of Kovack Securities, a top-50 U.S. broker-dealer, and CEO at The Pacific Financial Group. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with advisors, operations teams, and technology partners navigating the operational challenges that come with growth in wealth management.
As Head of Wealth Solutions at Feathery, Chris will work closely with RIAs, broker-dealers, custodians, and fintech partners to help firms modernize the operational infrastructure that supports advisor transitions, client onboarding, and account opening.
“Over the past several decades, I’ve seen firsthand how operational complexity grows as firms scale,” said Mills. “Events like advisor transitions, recruiting, and firm acquisitions can create enormous operational demands across systems, teams, and compliance processes. As a former Feathery user, I’ve seen firsthand how powerful Feathery can be in helping firms modernize these workflows across their technology stack, which is what made the opportunity to join the team so exciting.”
The wealth management industry is undergoing significant structural change. Firms are navigating increasing advisor mobility, consolidation across RIAs and broker-dealers, and rising client expectations for more efficient digital experiences. At the same time, many critical operational processes — including onboarding, account opening, and compliance documentation — remain fragmented across legacy systems and manual workflows.
Feathery’s platform helps wealth firms streamline complex workflows across their technology stack, enabling teams to automate processes, connect systems, and reduce operational friction.
“Chris brings a unique combination of deep industry experience and operational insight,” said Zack Khan, co-founder of Feathery. “Having spent decades working directly with advisors and operations teams, he understands the real operational challenges wealth firms face every day. We’re excited to have him helping shape how our platform supports firms navigating advisor transitions, growth, and modernization.”
“Over the course of his career, Chris has worked at the intersection of advisors, operations, and technology,” said Peter Dun, co-founder of Feathery. “As wealth firms continue to modernize their infrastructure, that experience is incredibly valuable. We’re excited to have him helping us expand our work with RIAs, broker-dealers, and partners across the wealth ecosystem.”
With Chris joining the team, Feathery will continue expanding its work with RIAs, broker-dealers, custodians, and fintech partners across the wealth ecosystem, helping firms modernize the operational infrastructure that supports advisor transitions, client onboarding, and long-term growth.
