We use the forms for a variety of purposes, including general data gathering, higher education applications, enrollment and class registration, license renewals, etc. In most cases, forms are esigned connect/update Salesforce and also our credit card processor (Authorize.net). Cons

Learning Curve

While FormAssembly's interface is user-friendly, mastering its advanced features may require some time and effort. Users who are new to form building or workflow automation may encounter a learning curve as they explore the platform's capabilities.

Cost

FormAssembly's pricing structure may be a deterrent for some users, particularly those with budget constraints or smaller-scale needs. While the platform offers various subscription plans to accommodate different usage levels, access to certain advanced features may require higher-tier plans, adding to the overall cost of implementation.

Support is average at best. The documentation is clumsy and seems to be from the 1990s. Some service reps know the product and can help resolve an issue timely, while others struggle to understand. In other words, support can be hit or miss.

Cons

Limited support for end-to-end workflows needed by Enterprise: Many enterprise use cases need a form that can meet advanced logic and design needs. But on top of that, they also require strong document generation, e-signature, workflow orchestration and OCR support. Form Assembly’s form builder is limited and does not have the breadth to capture end-to-end enterprise use cases in industries like Financial Services,

Initial Learning Curve: Feathery's breadth of features may require a learning period, especially for FormAssembly users transitioning.

This specialized integration allows for the use of Salesforce data to dynamically fill forms and automatically update Salesforce records in response to form submissions. Titanforms is an essential tool for entities that depend on Salesforce for CRM and data handling, streamlining data collection and linking form responses directly to Salesforce records.

Pros:

  • Exceptional integration with Salesforce, perfect for organizations heavily utilizing Salesforce.
  • Ensures efficient data management by automatically updating Salesforce records with form data.
  • Enables form customization leveraging Salesforce's data fields and organizational structures.

Cons:

  • Its effectiveness and benefits diminish significantly outside the Salesforce environment.
  • For those not utilizing Salesforce, its value may be overshadowed by more versatile form builders.

Paperform

Paperform is a user-friendly form builder, striking an impressive balance between simplicity and powerful customization. It shines in crafting forms that go beyond mere functionality to deliver visually engaging experiences, thanks to its extensive design flexibility tailored to various branding needs.

Whether it’s for surveys, event registrations, or payment processing, Paperform equips users with tools like conditional logic, diverse payment gateways, and a multitude of question types for building rich, interactive forms.

The platform also facilitates form embedding on websites, automates email responses, and connects seamlessly with an array of external services, including CRM platforms, email marketing solutions, and cloud storage options.

Pros:

  • Extensive customization options ensure forms are both attractive and practical.
  • Adaptable for multiple uses, including surveys, sign-ups, and financial transactions.
  • User-friendly interface allows easy form creation without needing deep technical knowledge.

Paperform ease of use relies on being able to create complex yet straightforward forms. I really like how at the beginning, it seems that it's a blank page, but as soon as you get the hang of it, you can add logic jumps and integrations. Comparatively to Typeform, I've seen better response rates because people are used to the Google Forms formula and Paperform does that but even better.

Cons:

  • Might not offer the advanced capabilities required for intricate data handling tasks.
  • The cost of access to more sophisticated features may be prohibitive for smaller entities or individuals.

I'm pretty happy with what I have accomplished with Paperform; maybe the one thing would be that the learning curve was a bit longer than when I used Typeform and that I can't seem to find how to archive instead of delete Forms. I ended up creating a Folder.

Google Forms

As part of the Google Workspace family, Google Forms presents a no-cost, efficient tool for crafting a variety of forms, from surveys and quizzes to registration for events. Its popularity stems from both its simplicity in form creation and the seamless data analysis it offers through integration with Google Sheets.

While Google Forms excels in ease of use and integration with Google’s ecosystem, including Docs and Drive, it's more suited for straightforward applications due to a lack of advanced features such as conditional logic and broad integration capabilities, making it perfect for educational settings, small business operations, and individual use.

Pros:

  • Free access makes it an accessible tool for all users.
  • Simple, intuitive interface ensures ease of use.
  • Integrates well with other Google Workspace tools, enhancing productivity and efficiency.

It is a great tool for internal surveys and questionnaires. It is not suited for a robust survey as the results functionality isn't very advanced.

Cons:

  • Best suited for simple form needs, lacking in advanced features and integrations.
  • Limited functionality for detailed form creation and data handling.
  • Minimal options for design and functional customization, limiting its use for complex or brand-specific forms.

This is not a product to use if you're trying to do a longer-form or in-depth survey. For things like an employee engagement survey, we do use a more specific survey tool that provides better insights into responses.

Cons:

  • Limited to a single design format, focusing on sequential, text-based questions.
  • Not as capable in processing complex data compared to more versatile tools.
  • Generally incurs a higher expense than some of its simpler counterparts.

We would like more functionality around form creation based on existing forms. For example, it would be helpful for us to save 'blocks' within our existing forms as templates to be used in other forms. It would also be helpful to organise folders, as the Dashboard can be quite busy.
