Background

Gmail is a free email service provided by Google, offering users access to email communication via web browsers, mobile apps, and desktop clients. It was launched by Google in 2004 and has since become one of the most popular and widely used email services globally, known for its simplicity, reliability, and extensive features.

Key Features of Gmail:

  1. Email Management: Gmail allows users to send, receive, and manage email messages from a user-friendly and intuitive interface. Users can compose new emails, reply to messages, forward emails, and organize emails into folders or labels.
  2. Storage: Gmail offers generous storage space for email messages and attachments, with users typically having several gigabytes of storage capacity. This allows users to store a large volume of emails and attachments without running out of space.
  3. Search: Gmail includes a powerful search feature that enables users to quickly find specific emails or information within their inbox. Users can search by keywords, sender, recipient, date, or other criteria to locate emails efficiently.
  4. Filters and Labels: Gmail allows users to create filters and labels to organize and categorize their emails automatically. Filters can be set up to sort incoming emails based on criteria such as sender, subject, or keywords, while labels can be used to tag and group related emails together.
  5. Conversation View: Gmail displays email threads in a conversation view, grouping related messages together in a single thread. This makes it easier for users to follow the flow of conversation and track responses to previous messages.
  6. Attachments: Gmail supports the sending and receiving of email attachments, allowing users to attach files, photos, documents, and other media to their emails. Attachments can be uploaded from local storage or linked from cloud storage services like Google Drive.
  7. Spam Filtering: Gmail includes robust spam filtering technology to automatically detect and filter out unwanted or suspicious emails. This helps users avoid spam, phishing attempts, and malware-infected emails, keeping their inbox clean and secure.
  8. Integration with Google Services: Gmail integrates seamlessly with other Google services, such as Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Contacts, and Google Meet. This allows users to access and use additional features and functionalities within Gmail, enhancing productivity and collaboration.
  9. Customization Options: Gmail offers customization options for the inbox layout, theme, and settings, allowing users to personalize their email experience according to their preferences and needs.

Common Use Cases for Gmail:

  • Personal Email: Individuals use Gmail for personal email communication, including staying in touch with family and friends, managing personal correspondence, and organizing personal information.
  • Work Email: Professionals and businesses use Gmail for work-related email communication, including sending and receiving work emails, collaborating with colleagues, and managing business correspondence.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the

"When inside of" nested selector

system.
