Overview

The Feathery + FIS integration enables financial institutions to embed robust wealth management functionality—spanning digital onboarding, client servicing, investment workflows, and compliance—directly into their front-end experiences. This integration is ideal for RIAs, broker-dealers, banks, and investment platforms looking to unify front-office and back-office systems while delivering a seamless digital client journey.

Feathery connects to multiple FIS products via API—including solutions like the Unity Wealth Platform, a data-driven suite for modern wealth management. With Feathery’s no-code form builder and workflow engine, firms can automate everything from account setup and portfolio onboarding to document handling and regulatory validation, while syncing with FIS systems in real time.

What You Need

  • A Feathery account
  • An active FIS account with API access for your specific product suite (e.g., Unity Wealth Platform)

Background

FIS is a global leader in financial technology, providing infrastructure and tools to support the full spectrum of financial services. Among their offerings, the Unity Wealth Platform stands out for its end-to-end support of the investor lifecycle—covering onboarding, investment planning, trading, compliance, and asset servicing.

Feathery’s flexible integration framework supports real-time connectivity with FIS APIs (Unity and others), allowing firms to modernize their client experiences without sacrificing core system compatibility or compliance requirements.

Key Benefits

  • Digital Client Onboarding
Launch branded onboarding flows that connect to FIS platforms (like Unity) to create client profiles, assign investment goals, and initialize portfolios.
  • Advisor Workflow Automation
Use Feathery’s rules engine to trigger actions, proposals, or compliance checks, syncing inputs directly to advisor dashboards within supported FIS environments.
  • Custodial Data Sync
Automatically sync and update account data between Feathery and FIS—reducing manual entry and improving data accuracy.
  • Trade and Asset Servicing
Enable order placements, ACATs, and other asset servicing workflows via embedded forms linked to FIS systems.
  • Omni-Channel Client Engagement
Deliver consistent self-service and advisor-assisted experiences across devices, tailored to investor preferences.
  • Predictive Analytics
Feed structured form data into FIS’s intelligence layers (e.g., Unity BI tools) to support proactive advisor insights and personalized next-best-actions.
  • Regulatory Compliance
Built-in audit trails, validations, and signature capture ensure workflows stay aligned with FINRA, SEC, and other industry standards.

Considerations

Before integrating with FIS, ensure your organization has the appropriate API credentials and onboarding completed with their technical team. Depending on the product, authentication may involve OAuth, JWT, or token exchange. Feathery can assist with setup and compliance review to ensure everything meets your operational and regulatory needs.

How to set up

Navigate to the Feathery form you want to connect to FIS and open the Integrations tab.

Connect your FIS developer account using Consumer Key and Consumer Secret.

Map fields between FIS API endpoints (e.g., client account details, portfolio preferences) and your Feathery fields.

Define trigger points for API actions—e.g., when a user completes onboarding or updates their investment profile.

Click Connect to activate the integration and begin syncing data with FIS in real time.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the

"When inside of" nested selector

system.
