Background

Trello is a web-based project management and collaboration tool that organizes tasks and projects into visual boards. It was originally developed by Fog Creek Software in 2011 and later spun off as an independent company. Trello's intuitive interface and flexible features make it popular among individuals, teams, and organizations of all sizes for managing workflows, tracking tasks, and coordinating projects.

Key Features of Trello:

  1. Boards, Lists, and Cards: Trello organizes work into customizable boards, which represent projects or initiatives. Within each board, users can create lists to represent different stages or categories of work, and then add cards to represent individual tasks or items.
  2. Visual Workflow: Trello's visual interface provides a clear overview of tasks and their progress. Users can move cards between lists to track their status, from "To Do" to "Doing" to "Done," for example, using a simple drag-and-drop interface.
  3. Collaboration and Communication: Trello facilitates collaboration among team members by allowing them to comment on cards, attach files and links, mention other users, and assign tasks to specific team members. This fosters real-time communication and transparency.
  4. Customization and Flexibility: Trello is highly customizable, allowing users to create boards, lists, and cards that suit their specific workflows and preferences. Users can add labels, due dates, checklists, and custom fields to cards, and use power-ups to extend functionality.
  5. Integration Ecosystem: Trello integrates with a wide range of third-party tools and services, including popular productivity apps like Google Drive, Slack, Dropbox, and Microsoft Teams. This enables users to streamline their workflows and access Trello from within their existing tools.
  6. Mobile Apps: Trello offers mobile apps for iOS and Android devices, allowing users to access and manage their boards and tasks on the go. The mobile apps offer full functionality and sync seamlessly with the web version.
  7. Team Collaboration: Trello supports collaboration among teams of any size, from small teams working on projects to large organizations managing complex workflows. Teams can create multiple boards for different projects or departments, and members can be added or removed as needed.

Common Use Cases for Trello:

  • Project Management: Trello is widely used for project management, enabling teams to plan, track, and execute projects of all sizes and complexities.
  • Task Tracking: Individuals and teams use Trello to track tasks, prioritize work, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the

"When inside of" nested selector

system.
